Rubika

Founded in 1988 in Valenciennes by Marie-Anne Fontenier, Rubika (formerly known as Supinfocom) is one of the world's most respected schools in 3D animation, game design, and industrial design. Born from the merger of Supinfocom, Supinfogame, and the Institut Supérieur du Design in 2013, the school has built a decades-long reputation on a demanding graduation requirement: producing a fully realized animated short film. From 1993 onwards, these student films began circulating through international festivals, winning awards and placing the school among the global elite. The animation curriculum spans five years, combining preparatory training in drawing, art history, and 2D animation with advanced specialization in 3D production — screenwriting, storyboarding, compositing, and digital direction. At its peak, Supinfocom was ranked number one animation school in the world by 3D World magazine (2007), and DreamWorks described it as one of the best schools on the planet, regularly recruiting its graduates. Today Rubika operates from campuses in Valenciennes, Montreal, Pune, and Nairobi, training over 1,300 students across animation, game design, and industrial design. Its student films continue to compete at the highest level internationally, and its alumni network spans the world's leading production studios.
